Rullian: Bio

Rullian is a five-piece all-instrumental progressive fusion of rock, jazz and world music comprised of musicians musicians from varied backgrounds. Violist/violinist Ann Hackman performs with the California Philharmonic and has toured with world-renowned composer Yanni. Pianist Luke Kelly was formerly the music director of the Fontana Mummers Theater and teaches music at University Preparatory School in Victorville. Drummer Will Bagby regularly performs with multiple working club bands. Rod Baker has performed professionally for years and has opened up for acts such as Yngwie Malmsteen and guitarist Raoul Rañoa has helped write music for independent films and was primary composer and producer of both Rullian releases.

Rullian recently produced and scored the film "Countdown To Zero" directed by Robert Diaz LeRoy. Rullian performed the score live to a rough cut of the movie in front of a sold out audience at the Performance Loft in Redlands, CA in early 2010. The band and the LeRoy are filming a few more scenes and plan to debut the completed movie and score soon.   

Both releases - "Chameleons In Disguise" and "Is This My Guitar Or An Albatross?"are available through major retailers such as Apples ITunes Store and amazon.com and each contain a wide variety of styles ranging from rock to baroque to Spanish-flamenco to world music to electronica. Rullian plans to release a live CD of original music 2011 quickly followed up by a third studio recording of new original material.

For performances, Rullian can deliver everything from a high-energy rock show to a more subdued acoustic performance. Rullian is more than happy to tailor their show to the specific needs of your event.
